    EDUCATION:
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalant
    • AA degree preferred
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Ability to relate well to both children and adults
    • Good written and oral language skills
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and detailed records; computer experience preferred.
    • Self motivated with minimal supervision
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Establish base-line data through pre and post testing of identified students, and use computer and testing data to track student progress.
    • Under the direction of district personnel to provide supplemental support to identified students by coordinating testing, record keeping, scheduling and prioritizing special services.
    • Assist teacher in small group or individual instruction
    • Prepare special materials for students and for the classroom
    • Supervise students as needed
    • Supervised and directed by a certified teacher

    TITLE: .5 Administrative Assistant

    EDUCATION:
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalant
    • AA degree preferred
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Skills to operate standard office equipment including use of basic computer applications; PowerSchool, Visions, MS office, Word and Excel.
    • Use English in both written and verbal form, use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
    • Must have courteous telephone manners, the ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, and students, good work attitude with a positive and pleasant disposition.
    • Knowledge of principles and practices of office procedures.
    • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
    • Main priority to aid and be of assistance to the Principal.
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Schedule appointments for the Principal
    • Process payroll information, records absences for certified and classified personnel
    • Keep timesheets and turns them in to district office along with leave affidavits.
    • Issue forms and assist in completion of purchase requests and ordering and help with managing of student activity accounts.
    • Checks and matching purchase requests with purchase orders returned from the district office.
    • Maintain files in orderly manner as required for administration, faculty and students
    • Orient and complete paper work for substitute teachers
    • Train office personnel
    • Take minutes, types reports, correspondence, updates handbooks, records work orders as needed.
    • Keep inventory cards and transfers
    • Supervise clean-up and preparation of office area for summer
    • Efficient Multi-tasker
    • Dispense scheduled medicines, and provide materials for student self-administered first aid
    • Distribute mail
    • Duties as assigned
    Maintenance:
    • Manage incoming/outgoing phone calls.
    • Type correspondence (letters, memos, notices) for supervisor.
    • Receptionist duties.
    • Provide appropriate contact with parents, students and outside agencies.
    • Type, file, copy and mail information.
    • Verification of information.
    • Collect, organize, disseminate information.
    • Assist supervisor and in other areas as assigned.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: .5 Instructional Paraprofessional (9 months) / .5 Administrative Assistant (10 months)

    SALARY: Classified schedule – .5 Instructional Paraprofessional (Level 4) / .5 Administrative Assistant (Level 6)
